This project challenged the Design Team to reflect the history of The Stockyards Site, established in 1947 as the largest cattle feed lot in the world, with the ranching heritage of the Arizona native founders of Jokake Companies, and a progressive vision for the Construction and Development Companies new corporate headquarters.

The Design Team celebrated an energetic work atmosphere by emphasizing circulation in the space through the exposed cat-walk and stair at the Reception, and by utilizing the overlook opportunities from both the Loft space down to the Office area. Glass conference cubes allow for both a more spacious feel and juxtapose the warmth and texture of the two-story, wood clad, implied "hearth of the office." Through careful detailing and coordination with the shell construction, the Design Team purposefully expressed the building structure and mechanical systems. The design of the Jokake Development has drawn from the storied past of an Arizona legacy and created an environment in which to build the future.
